The 23-year-old was involved in a big collision with Ducks forward Nate Thompson in the first period and later was on the wrong end of an odd collision between David Jones and Sami Vatanen.
Jones unleashed a heavy check on Vatanen whose elbow wildly flew into the head of Ferland.
