Brazilian point guard Marcelo Huertas looking to make move to NBA
One of the best floor generals on the international circuit is looking to finally make the jump to the NBA.
Marcelo Huertas, the Brazilian national and FC Barcelona point guard, is making a push for the NBA this offseason and will be "aggressively recruited," Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The 6-foot-3 guard, 31, has played the majority of his career with the Spanish club. He posted averages of 7.6 points and 4.4 assists in 22.1 minutes across 28 Euroleague games in the 2014-15 season.
Huertas projects as something of a Pablo Prigioni-type, a steady, pass-first floor leader. It's a comparison Huertas openly embraces.
"Prigioni is the guy most likely to get compared to me, because our career trajectory had been similar in Europe," Huertas said. "And like him, I can run a team without worrying about scoring."
