Dolphins brass sidesteps questions about Dion Jordan's status

Dion Jordan was absent for the start of the Miami Dolphins' offseason program Monday, which isn't a big deal considering the workouts are voluntary. But the reaction – or lack thereof – from Dolphins brass suggests there may be more to the situation.

General manager Dennis Hickey and executive vice president of football operations Mike Tannenbaum sidestepped all questions related to Jordan during Friday's pre-draft news conference.

"If someone chooses not to be here, that's their decision," Tannenbaum said

When asked if he expects Jordan to attend mandatory workouts, Tannenbaum replied, "What we're expecting now (is) to get through this presser."

Miami traded up to select Jordan with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2013 draft. Since then, he has started just one game and has been suspended twice for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
