Eighty-six-year-old Kansas City Chiefs fan Betty Johnson was known to players as "grandma" and held a special place in former Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe's heart.

Bowe, who signed with the Cleveland Browns in March, stopped by Johnson's seat at Arrowhead Stadium before every home game to give her a kiss.

Johnson died last Thursday, with Chiefs Hall of Famer Nick Lowery by her side, and Bowe made sure to return to Kansas City to attend her funeral.

"He flew in for my mother's funeral to give her the last kiss," Johnson's daughter told KCTV5. "Her celebration was just what she wanted. I wished I could have seen her in heaven today. I know she was there in spirit. It was a special ending to very special person."

Bowe left a note detailing what Johnson meant to him at her funeral.

"You might have thought your were the Chiefs No. 1 fan, but in so many ways, we were yours," the note read. "Thanks for making Arrowhead feel like home to me. I will continue to play my heart out for you. Kisses to you my special angel."
