St. James' Park was the scene of a massive protest Sunday, as Newcastle United supporters gathered ahead of kickoff to call for a boycott of their side's fixture versus Tottenham Hotspur in the latest demonstration aimed at owner Mike Ashley.

The protest, backed by the Newcastle United Supporters Trust, was organised after the club's full accounts for the end of the last financial year revealed more than £34 million sitting in the bank. Newcastle only announced profits of £18.7 million, angering supporters and leaving them wondering why the money wasn't used to strengthen their squad.

Volunteers handed out leaflets and unfurled banners, while AshleyOut.com hilariously invited supporters to head over to Leazes Park to feed the ducks and watch the grass grow once the match kicked off.
