VIDEO: Bryce Harper celebrates homer with majestic hair flip; Scherzer earns 1st win with Nats

Bryce Harper is on a mission to debunk the myth he's baseball's most overrated player.

The Washington Nationals outfielder absolutely destroyed a hanging curveball in the first inning of Friday's contest against the Philadelphia Phillies. The three-run shot gave the Nationals an early 3-0 for fireballer Max Scherzer, who tossed eight innings of one-run ball to pick up his first win with Washington and lower his ERA to 0.83 with the 7-2 victory.

Yasiel Puig and other sluggers around the league tend to celebrate these occasions with a bat flip, but Bryce opted for a more personalized celebration.

When your hair flip's better than your #BatFlip.

The blast was Harper's third of the season and set a new power precedent for the 22-year-old.

Ironically, Harper has now homered in each of Scherzer's three starts this season.
