Angels manager on meeting with Hamilton: Still 'no clarity that he's getting the help he needs'
Los Angeles Angels manager Mike Scioscia met with troubled outfielder Josh Hamilton prior to a weekend series with the Houston Astros, and he's deeply concerned about his outfielder's health moving forward.
"No clarity that (Hamilton's) getting the help he needs. That's a major concern," Scioscia told MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez. "Hopefully the frustration will start to evaporate as Josh gets through his first physical rehab of getting his shoulder where he needs to be."
Scioscia wasn't the only member of the squad to reach out to Hamilton this week.
CJ Wilson met with Hamilton, came away saying he's "100 percent functional" and "in the right place." "He's ready to go," Wilson said.

It was ruled on April 3 by an arbitrator that Hamilton had not violated the conditions of his treatment program after a self-reported drug relapse, and would not be suspended as a result.
Hamilton's primary focus is now on getting his shoulder healthy following February surgery, and then team management will be forced to make a decision regarding the slugger's future with the club.
"He's still doing his rehab, and we'll see when he's ready to get into full baseball activities," Scioscia added. "Nothing much has changed."
In other news, Hamilton's $16.5-million California mansion is up for sale in Newport Coast as he continues to rehab in the Houston area. The 33-year-old is still owed $83 million over the next three seasons by the Halos.
