Lakers' Nick Young on shooting struggles: 'The rim was tripping this year'

Los Angeles Lakers small forward Nick Young is known as a gunner, but he had difficulty finding his shooting stroke most nights this season, and was eventually forced to shut it down because of a knee injury.
Speaking with reporters Tuesday, Young said when the season started to go poorly, it led to an individual and collective downward spiral. However, he knows precisely where to place the blame.
"I blame it on the rim," Young said. "The rim was tripping this year."
On a more serious note, Young spoke about the injured knee that's caused him to miss most of the final three months of the season.
"It's in the healing process. It's going to be all right. This year has just been one of those years," he said.
