Rickie Fowler fires a 67, but has impressive major streak snapped

Rob Schumacher / USA TODAY Sports

For the first time in five major championship starts, Rickie Fowler won't place in the top five.

But he gave it a go.

Fowler shot a 5-under 67 in the final round at the Masters and narrowly missed out on setting Sunday's low score, suffering a bogey on 18.

He shaved strokes off his total from one round to the next, which should serve as a positive omen as he attempts to turn his season around.

Currently in a tie for 12th, Fowler could record just his second top-10 finish of the season should he see a slip or two on the leaderboard Sunday evening.
