Dodgers' Gonzalez blasts 3 home runs, sets MLB record with 5 in first 3 games
Adrian Gonzalez is feasting off the San Diego Padres pitching.
The Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman belted his third, fourth and fifth home runs of the season off Padres right-hander Andrew Cashner on Wednesday after going deep in each of the first two games of the series.
Gonzalez hit a solo shot in the first inning, before following that up with another solo home run in the third and one more in the fifth inning to become the first player in Major League Baseball history to hit five home runs in his team's first three games.

Gonzalez is no stranger to hitting his home runs in bunches. Last year he homered in three straight games on two different occasions to finish with 27 on the season. It was his first career three-home run game and the Dodgers grabbed a 7-4 victory over the Padres.
Cashner only gave up seven home runs in 123 1/3 innings last season.
