Tiger Woods will have to be content with a moral victory at the Masters.

The struggling superstar put together enough good shots to feel good about his road back to success, but will spend Sunday at the Masters in the shadow of the 21-year-old phenom who broke his famous (-17) scoring record.

Woods shot a 1-over 73 in Sunday's final round, failing to lead the charge of contenders struggling to keep pace with wunderkind Jordan Spieth.

And on the ninth hole Woods was in pain.

Woods hit a tree root with his downswing after missing his ninth consecutive fairway, and let out a pained cry as the ball skipped to the edge of the green.

"A bone kind of popped out. My joint kind of went out of place. I put it back in," Woods said following the round.

There was a lone bright spot on the day for Woods, as he eagled 13 after not hitting a single fairway until that hole. Woods broke a 221-hole eagle drought at the Masters, a slump once considered unthinkable.
