Mike Trout shocked by Eagles' offseason moves

With the 2015 MLB season underway, football would appear to be furthest thing from Mike Trout's mind.

However, the reigning American League MVP is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan and season-ticket holder.

With the Eagles becoming the talk of the league for making a series of shocking, unconventional moves, Trout opined on the state of his favorite NFL franchise.

"I've been shocked, for sure," Trout said to Monday Morning Quarterback's Peter King about the Eagles trading their starting quarterback and running back. "But, you know, Chip Kelly's got something up his sleeve. If he thinks Sam Bradford's the guy, you know, you gotta trust it. He has one thing in mind, and that's winning a Super Bowl. Whatever it takes. Whatever he thinks is right, that's what he’s gonna do.

“As a fan, all these moves you hear in the offseason, it gets you excited for the season, for sure."

The Los Angeles Angels superstar is seeking a second consecutive playoff berth after hitting 36 home runs and 111 RBIs while sporting a .287 batting average en route to his first MVP award.

Trout is looking forward to joining the Eagles' faithful when the baseball season comes to a halt, with the hopes of anonymity.

"I miss the games in the summer and September, but now, knowing I can go to every game when our season ends, I mean, it's the coolest thing, having season tickets. You're a part of the fans. You're one of them. I love it."
