Report: Canadiens' Pacioretty suffered 'upper-body' injury, travelling with team
The good news is Max Pacioretty is well enough to travel.
What remains unclear is the nature and extent of an injury suffered during Sunday's win over the Florida Panthers that forced Pacioretty out of action after only two minutes of playing time.
For now, the Montreal Canadiens forward is out with what has been described as an upper-body injury, according to Richard Labbé of La Presse. This should come as no surprise, considering how he went into the boards following a check from Dmitry Kulikov.
Pacioretty is expected to travel back to Montreal with the club, and will be further examined by team doctors upon arrival.
The Canadiens' next game is scheduled for Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings.
In 80 games, Pacioretty has scored 37 goals and added 30 assists, and his absence from the postseason lineup would be massive.
