David Luiz, Thiago Motta in danger of missing Champions League match vs. Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain could be without both David Luiz and Thiago Motta for their impending Champions League clash against Barcelona.

Both men suffered hamstring injuries in the club's 3-2 victory over Marseille on Sunday, with the defender leaving the contest in the opening half before the Italian midfielder was forced to limp off only minutes before the final whistle.

The first leg of their quarterfinal match against the Spanish juggernauts is fast approaching, set for April 15, and manager Laurent Blanc sounded more than a little concerned about the status of the duo.

"They're muscle problems, which is not very reassuring," Blanc told L'Equipe, as translated by ESPN FC.

"Those injuries can be explained by many things. I think the scheduling of this game was not the best of ideas. It would have been better before the international break.

"We got our full squad back on Friday. It was the same for the Marseille coach. So people should not be surprised to have injuries. You have to think about players and those involved before thinking of anything else."

The two men are expected to undergo scans on Monday, which will determine the severity of their respective injuries.
