Montreal Canadiens forward and top scorer Max Pacioretty left the game against the Florida Panthers after taking a rough spill into the boards following a hit from Dmitry Kulikov.
The forward hit his head into the boards on the way down, which is concerning as he's had concussion issues in the past.
Pacioretty did not return and head coach Michel Therrien did not have an update on his condition after the game.
Forward Brendan Gallagher spoke about the injury.
"He’s a big part of our team, a guy we’ve relied on all year long. That said, that’s sports; guys go down. It’s an opportunity for guys to step up, and I thought we did a good job of that tonight."
