Raptors' Lowry remains out with back spasms

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

The Toronto Raptors will be without point guard Kyle Lowry for the sixth consecutive game Saturday versus the Boston Celtics

Lowry has been bothered by back spasms, limiting him to 11 minutes over the team's last eight contests. He initially returned after a two-game absence, but aggravated the injury and has been sidelined since.

The first-time All-Star said Friday he planned to take a cautious approach in his recovery and will not rush back to the court. Toronto has clinched the Atlantic Division and is one game behind the Chicago Bulls for third place in the Eastern Conference.

Lowry is averaging a career-high-tying 17.9 points per game, along with a team-leading 6.9 assists and 1.5 steals.

Toronto will also be without Amir Johnson on Saturday due to a right ankle sprain.
