Ravens owner wants to extend Marshal Yanda, Justin Tucker and Jimmy Smith

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said he wants to extend the contracts of star guard Marshal Yanda, standout kicker Justin Tucker and cornerback Jimmy Smith.

Yanda is considered by many to be the league's top guard. The 30-year-old was selected to his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl last season, and graded out as Pro Football Focus's best guard.

Tucker was named to the Pro Bowl in 2013 and completed 29-of-34 field-goal attempts in 2014.

Smith was selected in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Ravens, and has developed into an above-average cornerback. The 26-year-old is best known for shutting down Michael Crabtree during Super Bowl XLVII's critical last stand. Baltimore held on to defeat San Francisco, 34-31.

Baltimore was defeated by the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots in January, and locking up Yanda, Tucker and Smith long term could help the Ravens make another playoff run.

Bisciotti also alluded to the Ray Rice scandal, saying that the domestic violence incident changed the way the Ravens evaluate players.
