Big Baby fined $15K for kicking seat cushion into crowd
Winning games in blowout fashion can be frustrating. It can also be expensive.
Los Angeles Clippers power forward and hype man Glen Davis found that out the hard way Tuesday, getting hit with a $15,000 fine from the NBA for his actions during the team's blowout of the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
The Celtics cut the lead from 17 to 14 with 4:18 to play in the game, through no fault of Big Baby's. Still, with the Clippers calling a timeout after the basket - the lead capped a 7-0 Boston run - Davis took out some apparent frustration on a chair on the sideline.
In doing so, Davis sent the seat cushion flying into the stands, where a lady with some quick reflexes caught it without harm.
Harm or not, the NBA obviously can't have players booting courtside paraphernalia into the crowd, and so Davis' bank account is now $15,000 lighter.
Honestly, Davis probably just misses best pal Nate Robinson.
