Free-agent linebacker Desmond Bishop will visit with the San Francisco 49ers on Monday, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.

Bishop finished last season with the 49ers after being released by the Arizona Cardinals in December. He played sparingly, recording two tackles.

The veteran linebacker won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers in 2010.

San Francisco's once-vaunted depth at linebacker was depleted in the offseason, with star inside linebacker Patrick Willis and his heir apparent, Chris Borland, both retiring in March.
