Hockey's version of March Madness can provide heart-stopping moments, too.
Miami of Ohio goaltender Jay Williams made the save of the tournament in the first period against Providence in the East Regional semifinal of the NCAA hockey tournament, but his teammate upstaged him in the final minute.
Miami rallied from a 6-2 deficit in the third period, scoring three times to cut the lead to one.
With 45 seconds left and the net empty, the puck appeared to be headed into the open cage, but Miami defenseman Louis Belpedio kept the game alive with a spectacular diving save.
Providence eventually scored in the empty net and moved on with a 7-5 win, but this will be the moment everyone remembers.
