There has been much debate about Indiana's Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) since its passing last week, with critics saying the new legislation could allow businesses to discriminate against gays and lesbians.

With the Final Four occurring in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil stadium, protesters have gathered to decry RFRA.

The NCAA, headquartered in Indianapolis, had originally expressed its concern that the law would threaten the inclusiveness of college athletics. It was later revised to combat the threat of discrimination, which pleased the organization, according to a statement by president Mark Emmert.
