Dana White on GSP: 'I'm leaning toward he's not coming back'

After a somewhat controversial unanimous decision victory over Johny Hendricks in 2013, Georges St-Pierre, one of the greatest fighters the sport has ever seen, walked away from the UFC.

Still only 33 years old, many expected St-Pierre to eventually return to the sport. As the UFC chugs on and his months away from the sport turn into years, his comeback becomes more and more unlikely.

"I offered him a fight in Montreal, and he said 'I'm not ready yet,'" UFC president Dana White told The Jay and Dan Podcast. "I'm on the fence, I'm leaning toward he's not coming back."

When asked if he thinks GSP was simply worn out, White rattled off a long list of reasons why the former welterweight kingpin would decide to retire from competing in the Octagon.

"Well, he's rich," White said with a laugh. "He's rich and really doesn't have to do anything if he doesn't want to. He's filming some movies, and from what I hear ... I'm hoping I'm able to say this. You know the Jean-Claude Van Damme movie 'Kickboxer'? They're remaking it with him.

"So he's filming that, and he's doing some fun stuff. I was in L.A. one night and I went to the Clippers game, Georges St-Pierre sitting over there in the front row. I went out one night to a concert, Georges St-Pierre in the front row. Fighting is one of those sports that you gotta be hungry, and you gotta want it. He hasn't been hungry in a long time."
