Every night from now through April 15, the end of the NBA regular season, theScore will bring you potential playoff matchups - and teams still in the mix to qualify - based on the final nightly standings.

Here's where things stand after March 23:

Eastern Conference

1 vs. 8 Y - Hawks Celtics
2 vs. 7 X - Cavaliers Heat
3 vs. 6 Raptors Bucks
4 vs. 5 Bulls Wizards
  • Evan Turner's triple-double helped the Celtics down the Nets and once again move into eighth place in the Eastern Conference. The ever-changing East playoff standings have seen the Celtics jump in and out multiple times throughout the last calender week. They're in eighth again thanks to losses from the Hornets and Pacers
  • The Wizards' goal of snagging homecourt in the East took another blow Monday, as they were annihilated by the Warriors. Washington is 2.5 games back of the Bulls for fourth after dropping its third straight game.

Team Games Behind
Hornets 0.5
Pacers 1
Nets 1.5
  • The Hornets suffered a double-digit loss to the Bulls. Making matters worse, Al Jefferson sat the majority of the second half - and all of the fourth - with a sore right knee. That's the same knee he recently sprained.
  • Charlotte faces Brooklyn on Wednesday, a game that could prove to be a crushing blow for the loser's playoff hopes.
  • For what it's worth, ESPN's playoff odds has the Heat and Pacers as the two East bubble teams with the best chances of getting in. Brooklyn has the lowest odds, but much improved from earlier in the week, at 28.2 percent.

Western Conference

1 vs. 8 X - Warriors Thunder
2 vs. 7 X - Grizzlies Mavericks
3 vs. 6 Rockets Spurs
4 vs. 5 Trail Blazers Clippers
  • The West playoff picture remains unchanged from a night ago, but a new entrant has punched its ticket to the playoffs. The Grizzlies joined the Warriors as the second West team to clinch with a blowout of the lowly Knicks
  • Golden State won its sixth in a row and, barring a collapse, will clinch first place in the West and homecourt throughout the playoffs in short order. The Warriors are up 7.5 games on the second-place Grizzlies.

Team Games Behind
Suns 2.5
Pelicans 3
  • Neither the Suns nor Pelicans played Monday and each team's playoff chances remain remote. Both have less than a 10 percent chance of leapfrogging the eighth-place Thunder and getting in.
