Virginia's Darion Atkins says his team 'played like some p-----s'
Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports
Darion Atkins' final game as a Cavalier did not go well – Virginia fell to Michigan State in the Round of 32.
When asked about a heated timeout in which Virginia assistant coach Jason Williford was yelling, Atkins had a very honest answer about his team's efforts.
"I felt like we were just playing like some pussies to be honest," said Atkins. "I mean. I don't know."
The Virginia senior, who finished with 10 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks, told the media after the loss that he felt as though he was trying to rally his team to come back during the second half, but by that point it was too late.
