Georgia State coach Hunter needs new cast after celebratory fall

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Georgia State head coach Ron Hunter has quickly become the face of this year's NCAA tournament. After tearing his Achilles during the Panthers' Sun Belt championship victory, Hunter arrived at March Madness with the assistance of a scooter and on Thursday coached from a chair.

Hunter stepped his game up to a new level, as he went tumbling out of his chair when his son, R.J. Hunter, nailed a 3-pointer that gave Georgia State the upset win over Baylor.

However, Hunter's celebratory fall came with a price, as he apparently cracked the cast on his injured leg and it will need to be replaced (the cast, not the leg), as reported by USA Today's Dan Wolken.

Hunter also said that he would be using the same chair come Saturday for the Panthers' game against Xavier and claimed it would have "more protection than the President of the United States."
