Nick Young's CT scan revealed a small fracture of his left knee cap that's expected to heal on its own with rest. He'll be re-evaluated in a week.
The Los Angeles Lakers colorful swingman won't require surgery. He's missed the team's last 11 games.
In his second season with the Lakers, Young's averaging 13.4 points and shooting a career-low 36.6 percent from the field. There's a very real chance Young's played his last game of the season with only 16 contests remaining in the the Lakers' abysmal campaign.
Los Angeles, which has a franchise-worst .258 winning percentage, will miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season.
