VIDEO: NFL doctor says riding a bike is more dangerous than youth football

The NFL has a burgeoning concussion crisis on its hands. The abrupt retirement of linebacker Chris Borland served to shine a spotlight on the growing consensus that playing football can result in significant brain damage.
NFL medical consultant and longtime Pittsburgh Steelers team neurosurgeon Joseph C. Maroon was interviewed on NFL Network on Wednesday and tried to downplay the notion that football is dangerous.
His words probably did more harm than good:
