Temple suspends Dion Dawkins, Haason Reddick after arrests
PHILADELPHIA - Temple University has suspended two members of its football team after their arrests in an off-campus assault.
Dion Dawkins and Haason Reddick were charged late Monday with aggravated assault.
The 20-year-olds are free on bail pending a March 31 hearing. Online court records do not list lawyers for them to comment on the charges.
Police say Dawkins and Reddick were involved in a fight Jan. 17 at a party in Philadelphia's Northern Liberties section.
WPVI-TV reports the victim was a Temple student. The student's family says he suffered a concussion and broken orbital bone.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Dawkins started on the offensive line last season. He's from Rahway, New Jersey.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound Reddick played in nine games last year on the defensive line. He's from Camden, New Jersey.
