Kvyat, Magnussen join Bottas on the Aussie GP sidelines
The Australian Grand Prix will be held with just 15 drivers on track after three drivers were ruled out shortly before the start of Sunday's race.
Red Bull's Daniil Kvyat stopped after his car went off track on a formation lap. Team boss Christian Horner later said Kvyat was done for the day with a gearbox issue.
McLaren's Kevin Magnussen, meanwhile, exited with what appeared to be a failure of the team's new Honda engine. That continues a miserable weekend for the team that had both Magnussen and Jenson Button starting at the back of the grid.
Williams's Valtteri Bottas has already been ruled out of the race with a lower back injury.
The grid, which should include 20 cars, is down to just 15 after Manor Marussia failed to get either of its cars on the track.
