Pistons' Drummond leaves game against Jazz with concussion

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons left Saturday night's game in Utah against the Jazz with a concussion.

He will not return to the game.

Drummond was hit hard in the head in the first quarter and briefly continued playing until going into the locker room for concussion protocol evaluation. He was ruled out in the third quarter.

Any prolonged absence by Drummond would be another major blow to the Pistons, who had lost nine straight going into Utah. Drummond had a massive night last Wednesday, scoring 22 points and grabbing 27 rebounds in a loss to the Warriors - the fourth 20/20 game of his career.
