49ers officially sign Reggie Bush

The San Francisco 49ers have officially signed running back Reggie Bush to one-year deal.

Bush tweeted about his excitement at joining the team Saturday, writing "the best is yet to come."

Bush will join second-year tailback Carlos Hyde in a 49ers backfield that recently saw veteran Frank Gore depart for the Indianapolis Colts.

Bush rushed for 297 yards and two touchdowns on 76 carries last season, and caught 40 passes for 253 yards. He projects as a passing-down complement to Hyde.
