Michael Crabtree is one of the top names remaining in free agency, so it makes sense his market is finally heating up after several days of inactivity.

The Washington Redskins and San Diego Chargers are expressing interest in signing the former San Francisco 49ers pass-catcher, ESPN's John Keim reports, with the latter appearing to be the more interested party.

Crabtree may be forced to settle for a one-year prove-it deal, as the overall market for wide receivers has cooled considerably in recent days.

The former 10th overall pick is coming off a down year in which he caught 68 passes for 698 yards and four touchdowns. There are questions about whether he has fully recovered from an Achilles tear suffered in the spring of 2013.
