Report: Eagles trying to trade Pro Bowl guard Evan Mathis

The Philadelphia Eagles are trying to trade star guard Evan Mathis, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mathis, a two-time Pro Bowler, is considered one of the NFL's best left guards.

Philadelphia has completely revamped its offense and Mathis would be ideally suited to a run-heavy scheme, as he's arguably the best run-blocker in the NFL when healthy.

Mathis missed seven games last season due to a MCL injury but performed admirably upon his return, earning Pro Bowl honors for the second consecutive season.
