Conley, Randolph, Gasol out for Grizzlies on 2nd night of back-to-back
The Memphis Grizzlies are set to take on the Washington Wizards without three-fifths of their starting unit.
Memphis will be without point guard Mike Conley, power forward Zach Randolph and center Marc Gasol for Thursday's nationally-televised TNT game.
Gasol and Randolph are being given a day of rest on the second night of a back-to-back, while Conley got banged up during Wednesday's loss to the Boston Celtics. Conley sprained his ankle and also played through a sore back and neck, making the decision to sit him an obvious one.
The Southwest Division-leading Grizzlies, in a stretch of five games in seven nights, will also rest Tony Allen. All four players suited up Wednesday.
Memphis enters the game in second place in the Western Conference with a 45-19 record.
