Colts give Frank Gore 3-year, $12M deal

The Indianapolis Colts' deal with free-agent running back Frank Gore is worth $12 million over three years.

Gore's agent Drew Rosenhaus announced the deal Wednesday. Gore will get $7.5 million in guaranteed money and $8.5 million over the first two years.

It's similar money to what the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly offered Gore before the veteran runner made the abrupt decision to abandon talks with the team and shift his focus to the Colts.

The 31-year-old has eight 1,000-yard seasons and five Pro Bowl selections to his name. His signing almost certainly spells the end for Trent Richardson in Indianapolis.
