Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Steve Mason made a concerted effort not to call out his teammates after a loss to the Dallas Stars on Tuesday, but his frustration was evident.

Mason said the Flyers didn't play with a sense of urgency, and he was embarrassed by the club's performance in the 2-1 defeat.

Mason stopped 37 of 39 shots, while his teammates mustered only 26 and failed to score after defenseman Luke Schenn's goal less than two minutes into the game.

The Stars out-shot the Flyers 30-12 in the final two periods, holding a decisive edge in the puck possession battle on Philadelphia's home ice at Wells Fargo Center.

It was the third consecutive loss for the Flyers, who are now nine points out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference after dropping a pair of games over the weekend.
