No. 23 Ohio State crashed the party on senior night in State College, as the Buckeyes upended Penn State by a score of 77-67 on Wednesday.

Ohio State guard D'Angelo Russell drew chants of "overrated" from the State College faithful, but silenced his critics with a terrific performance. He scored a game-high 28 points on 8-of-16 shooting, knocking down 5-of-8 attempts from beyond the arc, adding six rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Penn State senior guard D.J. Newbill paced the Nittany Lions with 17 points, adding five assists, four rebounds, and a steal.

The win is the third in a row for Ohio State and keeps the Buckeyes in the hunt for a double-bye in the Big Ten tournament.

Ohio State closes out its regular season schedule on Sunday against sixth-ranked Wisconsin.
