Report: Ravens' Victor Hampton arrested for DWI
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Victor Hampton was arrested for driving while impaired Saturday in Charlotte, N.C., according to WSOCTV.
Hampton was also cited for reckless driving, speeding and having an open container in the vehicle.
According to investigators, the 22-year-old was travelling 100 mph in a 55 mph zone with a blood-alcohol level of .10, which is over North Carolina's limit of .08.
The Ravens commented on the arrest on Sunday:
"We are just learning of the situation and attempting to find out more," Ravens senior director of public relations Chad Steele said.
Hampton went undrafted in 2014 and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent. He was eventually cut, but signed with the New York Giants and headed to their practice squad in October.
After not being retained by New York, he signed a reserve-future contract with the Ravens in January.
