The Edmonton Oilers have traded defenseman Jeff Petry to the Montreal Canadiens for a pair of draft picks, both clubs confirmed Monday.
The Oilers receive a second-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick, both in 2015.
Here are the conditions, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman:
If MON wins one round, pick is a 4th, two rounds and it is a third

Petry is a pending unrestricted free agent with a cap hit of $3.075 million. He has 15 points in 59 games.
The deal was first reported by TSN's Ryan Rishaug.
