Kings' Collison to visit specialist for hip injury

A hip flexor strain continues to sideline Sacramento Kings point guard Darren Collison. 

Collison, who has missed the Kings' last six games, will travel to Los Angeles on Tuesday to visit a specialist, the team announced. 

The injury has kept Collison out of action since a Feb. 5 contest against the Dallas Mavericks, putting a dent in the 27-year-old's career season. Collison is averaging a personal-best 16.1 points per game, along with a team-high 5.6 assists and 1.5 steals. 

Sacramento hosts the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday before another home game Friday against the San Antonio Spurs.
