Seahawks' Sherman, Chancellor won't need surgery

Joe Nicholson / USA TODAY Sports

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll was dishing out good news for Seahawks fans at the combine on Friday.

Carroll said both Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor won't require offseason surgery.

Chancellor was dealing with an MCL tear while Sherman had an elbow issue. Both players played through their ailments in the Super Bowl.

Carroll noted that rehab should be able to correct the problems.

With Earl Thomas scheduled for a procedure on his torn labrum, Seahawks fans can at least take solace in knowing that only a quarter of their vaunted secondary will now have to go under the knife.
