Brett Hundley on weak QB class: 'We're going to have to prove them wrong'
The quarterbacks in the 2015 NFL Draft are widely considered to constitute a relatively weak class, but former UCLA passer Brett Hundley doesn't necessarily agree with that characterization.
"We're going to have to prove them wrong," Hundley told reporters at the NFL scouting combine Thursday.
Hundley, a player who some rank as the third-best passing prospect behind Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota, was all confidence as he spoke about his future as a pro and his desire to be the No. 1 pick in the draft.
"If you tell me I can't do something, I'm going to prove you wrong," he said.
It sounds like several quarterback-needy teams out of range of Winston and Mariota are taking a hard look at Hundley. He said he's already met or will meet with the Cleveland Browns and St. Louis Rams among several other teams and identified the Philadelphia Eagles' offense as one that's similar to the scheme he ran at UCLA.
