Kings trade Ramon Sessions to Wizards for Andre Miller
The Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards swapped a pair of veteran guards Thursday, with Wizards acquiring Ramon Sessions in exchange for Andre Miller, the clubs announced.
Sessions, 28, was averaging 5.4 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds in nearly 18 minutes per game with the Kings. He missed nearly a month of the season with a back injury.
The 38-year-old Miller was logging only 12.4 minutes per game behind John Wall in Washington, and while he has little left to offer on the court, will get the chance to reunite with head George Karl in Sacramento. The pair spent years together in Denver.
Miller also has family who works for the Kings.
Miller is in the final year of a contract that pays him over $4.6 million this season, while Sessions is under next year for roughly $2.1 million.
