VIDEO: All 4 of Zach LaVine's incredible Dunk Contest slams

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Zach LaVine put on one of the single greatest Dunk Contest performances of all time Saturday, decisively winning the 2015 edition and cementing himself as the league's new aerial overlord.

For those who missed it, here are LaVine's four dunks, two of which earned a perfect score of 50 from the judges, with the others earning a 45 and 49.

Lavine

As a quick recap:

  1. Throws a self-alley-oop and has to duck his head under the rim as he goes through the legs for a sick reverse. 50.
  2. Throws a self alley-oop and then goes behind the back with his face at the rim. 50.
  3. Teammate Andrew Wiggins stands near the baseline holding the ball out at head height, and LaVine goes through the legs for the left-handed jam. 44.
  4. Taking a pass off of the stanchion from teammate Shabazz Muhammad, LaVine went through the legs for an emphatic dunk that hit him on the way down. 49.

He had the basketball world in the palm of his hands on Saturday, blowing the minds of most of his peers in attendance. Except for Jeff Teague, who appeared to know this was coming and was prepared with the nastiest of stink faces in reaction.

Look at Jeff Teague!

It really wasn't fair for his competitors, and Victor Oladipo's reaction after LaVine's second dunk tells the story of the night:

Fellow competitor Mason Plumlee put that face into words:

The first two dunks were enough to warrant comparisons to Vince Carter, the greatest Slam Dunk champion of all time. Teammate Ricky Rubio was not above making such comparisons, as he shouldn't be, even if LaVine himself isn't ready to go there.

LaVine had the rest of the internet having a ton of fun on Saturday night, too, which is really what All-Star Weekend is all about.

Hey, you know when you get respect from "Dr. J.," you've had a good night of dunking.

And yes, we're going to get a repeat next season. Life is beautiful.
