The 2015 Hall of Fame Game will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Wednesday.

The game will take place in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 9 and will highlight the 2015 inductions of former Viking center Mick Tingelhoff and Steelers great Jerome Bettis.

The first preseason game of the season always takes place as part of the festivities of that year's Hall of Fame induction ceremony. This year's class will be officially enshrined the night before kickoff on Aug. 8.

"We are tremendously excited about the opportunity to kick off the 2015 NFL preseason on a national stage," said Vikings owner/president Mark Wilf. "This trip will give our young team a chance to appreciate the many players and individuals who have made the game what it is today."

The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and be broadcast on NBC's "Sunday Night Football."
