Maple Leafs' Clarkson ejected for hit on Canadiens' Gonchar

David Clarkson has had better weeks. 

The Toronto Maple Leafs winger was assessed a five-minute major penalty and game misconduct Saturday for a dangerous hit on Montreal Canadiens defenseman Sergei Gonchar. 

Clarkson was swiftly engaged in his second fight of the contest, tallying 27 penalty minutes in just two minutes and 31 seconds in only his second game back in the lineup after being scratched for a pair earlier this week.

Gonchar did not come out to start the second period and will not return with an upper-body injury.
