Mo Williams' bounce-back season in Minnesota has caught the eye of at least one playoff contender, as the Charlotte Hornets reportedly discussed a deal for the veteran point guard, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Wojnarowski added that Timberwolves guard Troy Daniels was also discussed, but that talks between Charlotte and Minnesota have stalled.

Williams is by no means a star guard and he can get still get a little too trigger-happy despite being a 40 percent shooter, but he's been a solid veteran option for a young T-Wolves team, averaging 12.3 points, 6.5 assists and 2.4 rebounds in over 28 minutes per game.

Williams, who scored 52 points in a game against the Indiana Pacers in January, is also shooting a respectable 34.9 percent from 3-point range.

The 32-year-old is on a one-year, $3.75-million contract and would be a decent insurance option for the Hornets with Kemba Walker sidelined following knee surgery and Brian Roberts struggling to fill his minutes.
