Suns' Bledsoe out Sunday to attend to personal matter

Mark J. Rebilas / USA Today Sports

The Phoenix Suns will be without point guard Eric Bledsoe when they take on the Sacramento Kings on Sunday as he is attending to the birth of his child, reports James Ham of Cowbell Kingdom.

Bledsoe has started all 52 of the Suns' games this season, averaging 16.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.9 assists while playing shutdown-level defense on the perimeter.

The Suns could conceivably start Isaiah Thomas at point guard in his stead or they could go bigger and slide a wing into the starting lineup while Goran Dragic operates the point.

The Kings will also be shorthanded as point guard Darren Collison and small forward Rudy Gay will also be missing in action.
