Erik Cole might want to buy a lottery ticket after scoring a bizarre empty-net goal against the Boston Bruins on Tuesday.
The Dallas Stars forward cleared the puck down the right side boards in the final minute of the contest. The puck began to separate from the boards as it crossed Boston's blue line and it gradually curled into the Bruins' net before any Boston player could retrieve it.
Cole has nine goals in 14 games since the beginning of 2015 after scoring six times in 35 contests to start the season, so it's safe to say he's been both lucky and good.
