As the NFL continues its investigation into the Cleveland Browns for allegedly sending text messages from the press box to the sideline during games, it appears both the team and general manager Ray Farmer could be facing substantial league discipline.

Farmer has been named as the Browns employee who violated the electronic use policy by sending the text messages, and he could soon be handed a multi-game suspension, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Northeast Ohio Media Group.

The league is expected to announce its complete findings at some point within the next few weeks. In addition to Farmer's penalty, the Browns could also be fined and lose a draft pick, Cabot reported.

The potential discipline adds to what has already been an eventful offseason for Cleveland, as the last two weeks have seen star wide receiver Josh Gordon handed a year-long suspension and quarterback Johnny Manziel check into rehab in hopes of getting his off-field issues in order.
